Reverse description The reverse displays a raised circular inner frame enclosing the shahada and the AH mint year in Arabic numerals at the base, with the regnal year 1374 prominently struck within the central cartouche. A border of six-pointed stars separates the inner circle from the outer marginal legend, which records the mint name Sana'a and the denomination. The outer legend reads continuously around the periphery in bold Yemeni-style Arabic script, naming the place of striking and the fractional value. The overall layout is typical of Imamate-era Yemeni coinage, with all inscription elements in raised relief against a flat field.
