Reverse description Central field enclosed within a raised circular inner border containing the Islamic profession of faith and mint formula in multiple lines of Arabic calligraphy. The legend reads 'Allah / La ilaha illa Allah' across the upper portion of the inner circle, with the AH date below. The surrounding outer legend, separated by small six-pointed star ornaments evenly distributed around the circumference, records the mint name 'Sana'a' (in the small-script variety) and additional formulaic text. The denomination indicator 'rub' ushur' (quarter of ten, i.e. 1/40 Riyal) appears as part of the marginal legend.
