| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate Ottoman tughra of Sultan Mehmed V, rendered in fine relief with characteristic sweeping calligraphic strokes and interlaced loops. A small floral ornament with rosette and foliate sprigs appears to the upper right of the tughra. The Arabic regnal year numeral appears below the tughra at the base of the field. The coin surface exhibits the characteristic plain, unbordered style typical of small Ottoman-Egyptian bronze issues of this period. |
