Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line nastaliq calligraphic legend occupying the entire field of the irregularly shaped hammered flan. The inscription reads 'Zarb Dar al-Saltanah Isfahan 1228,' identifying the mint city of Isfahan — styled with its honorific title 'Abode of Sovereignty' — along with the AH regnal year 1228 (1813 CE). The legends are arranged in sweeping diagonal lines characteristic of the Isfahan mint's die-cutting style, with scattered dot embellishments punctuating the field. The relief is bold and well-struck at the center, with some softness toward the irregular periphery inherent to the hammered technique. No border or decorative frame is present, consistent with this type and denomination.
