| Obverse description | Central field bears a complex quartered and impaled shield of the Mansfeld comital arms, surmounted by multiple ornate helmets with elaborate crests. The date 1617 is divided across the lower portion of the shield, flanked by the mintmaster's initials. The surrounding legend reads in Latin, naming the four co-ruling counts. The composition reflects the late Renaissance heraldic style typical of German territorial coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Saint George, armored and on horseback, is depicted in dynamic profile slaying the dragon beneath the horse's hooves, rendered in the vigorous style characteristic of early seventeenth-century German hammered silver coinage. A small imperial orb appears in the upper right field. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the entire composition along the coin's circumference. A cross pattée surmounts the legend at the top. The overall treatment conveys energy and movement befitting the chivalric subject matter. |
