Reverse description Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with wings spread and heads facing outward, contained within an inner beaded circle. The eagle bears the imperial orb on its breast and is rendered in the bold, high-relief style typical of mid-sixteenth century German hammered coinage. The surrounding Latin legend references Emperor Charles V as Roman Emperor Augustus.
