| 背面描述 | St. Rupert, patron saint of Salzburg, depicted seated three-quarter facing left, vested in episcopal robes and holding his attribute of a salt box in one hand and a crozier in the other, all contained within an inner beaded circle. The circumferential legend names the saint as Bishop of Salzburg, with the date of issue appearing at the conclusion of the inscription. The composition reflects the established iconographic conventions of Salzburg ecclesiastical coinage of the period. |

Markus Sittikus von Hohenems secured the Salzburg archbishopric in 1612 partly through the influence of his uncle, Cardinal Mark Sittich of Altemps, and the Habsburg court — a reminder that ecclesiastical appointments in the Holy Roman Empire were rarely purely spiritual matters. His reign was short, ending with his death in 1619, which constrains the production window for this series to just a few years.
The Zöttl references 1190–1192 indicate at least three documented die variants across the 1614–1616 span, a not unusual situation for a mint producing hammered silver on annual die cycles.
