Reverse description The reverse of this klippe features the standing full-length figure of Saint Rupert of Salzburg, patron saint of the archbishopric, depicted in full pontifical vestments including mitre and cope, with a halo above his head. In his left hand he holds a model of a church or fortress, and in his right hand a crozier; beside him rests the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg incorporating the lion of Salzburg and the episcopal insignia, with the denomination mark '4' visible on a globe at his feet. The date of issue appears prominently in the upper field of the legend, flanking the saint's head. The circumferential inscription reads SANCT RVDBERTVS EPS SALISBVRG followed by the date, all within a beaded border enclosed by the square klippe flan.
