Obverse description Armoured half-length effigy of Archduke Leopold V facing right, wearing a high-shouldered cuirass decorated with six vertical rows of chevrons, the figure crowned and holding a scepter in the right hand. The bust is contained within a plain inner circle, with the Latin legend surrounding in the outer field. The portrait is rendered in the formal court style typical of early seventeenth-century Habsburg coinage.
