| Obverse description | Within a lozenge (diamond-shaped) frame set against a dotted border, the laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I faces right, wearing armour with a prominent lace cravat. The emperor's characteristic features — broad wig, heavy jaw, and elaborate cuirass — are rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The fraction numeral '1/4' appears at the base of the lozenge in the lower exergual area. The peripheral legend encircles the lozenge, reading LEOPOLD · D · G · R · I · S · A · GER · HVN · GAR · REX, separated by lozenge-point stops. |
