Obverse description Crowned and mantled episcopal coat of arms of the Bishopric of Passau displayed in the upper portion of the field, supported by elaborate baroque cartouche work. Below the arms, within a rocaille frame, three sheep or goats are depicted in a pastoral scene. The Latin legend NON VI SED AMORE (Not by force but by love) encircles the design, reading from lower left to upper right across the field.

Reverse description Decorative foliate and scrollwork ornament at top center above an eight-line Latin inscription filling the field, recording the homage rendered to Bishop Leopold Ernest of Firmian at Passau on 8 June 1764. The date 1764 appears in Arabic numerals at the base of the inscription.
