Reverse description The central device consists of the quartered ducal arms of Saxony set within a circular border, flanked by the letters C and O on either side. The date of issue appears above the central shield, while thirteen smaller subsidiary shields of arms are arranged around the periphery, representing the various lordships and territories of the duchy. The encircling Latin legend continues the titulature of the rulers.
