Obverse description Armored bust of Duke John Albert II facing right, wearing elaborate period costume with ruff collar and plumed helmet, the date divided to the left and right of the effigy. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait within a beaded border. The bust is rendered in the early Baroque style typical of early seventeenth-century German coinage.
