Reverse description The entire field is occupied by a ten-line funerary Latin inscription commemorating the death of Duke Georg Wilhelm, last of the Piast dynasty, filling the coin from top to bottom with no central device. The text records his receipt of life on 29 September 1660 (D. XXIX. SEPT. MDCLX) and his rendering of that life back to God on 21 November 1675 (D. XXI. NOV. MDCLXXV), with the final line noting that Silesia mourned his passing. The lettering is boldly struck in Roman capitals, enclosed within a plain inner border and a reeded outer rim.
