Obverse description Armoured bust of Ferdinand I facing right, depicted half-length, wearing plate armour. The effigy is contained within a fine inner circle and an outer beaded border. The legend, commencing at 12 o'clock, reads the abbreviated Latin title for 'Ferdinandus Dei Gratia Romanorum Ungariae Boemiae Dalmatiae Croatiae etc Rex', identifying Ferdinand as King of the Romans, Hungary, Bohemia, Dalmatia, and Croatia.
