| Obverse description | Draped bust of Duke Christian of Liegnitz-Brieg facing right, wearing a lace collar and armor with ornamental shoulder detail, his long curled hair falling to his shoulders in the Baroque fashion. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving capturing naturalistic facial features including a moustache. A beaded inner border frames the bust, with the circumferential Latin legend CONSTANTER. ET. SINCERE. (Constantly and sincerely) running around the periphery between the inner beaded circle and the outer milled border. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a six-line Latin commemorative inscription within a central field, recording the birth and death of Duke Christian: born at Ohlau (OLAV.) on 19 April in the year 1618 (A.C. MDCXIIX. XIX. APRIL.) and died at Liegnitz (LIGNICI) on 29 February 1672 (A.C. MDCLXXII. XXIX. FEBR.). The inscription block is framed above and below by foliate and scrollwork ornaments. The circumferential legend around the beaded inner border reads CHRISTIANVS. D. B. DVX. SIL. LIG. BREG. ET. WOL., identifying the duke's full titulature as Duke of Silesia, Liegnitz, Brieg, and Wohlau. |
