Obverse description Central shield bearing the city arms of Haguenau, flanked by small floral ornaments at left, top, and right, all contained within a beaded circle. The shield is rendered in a late Renaissance style characteristic of Alsatian civic coinage of the early seventeenth century. The surrounding legend runs along the inner edge of the coin's irregular flan.
