Obverse description Armored bust of Albrecht von Wallenstein facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and elaborately decorated armor with a gorget, depicted in the Renaissance portrait style typical of early seventeenth-century German coinage. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detailing on the cuirass. The encircling Latin legend reads ALBERTVS DEI GRA DVX FRIDLANDIAE, identifying him as Duke of Friedland by the grace of God. The legend is set close to the rim and runs continuously around the portrait. The field behind the bust is plain.
