Obverse description Three heraldic shields arranged two over one within the field: the upper two shields display the arms of Kempten (diagonal stripes), flanking a central ornamental boss, while the lower shield bears the imperial eagle. The date 1622 is centered above the upper pair of shields. The whole composition is enclosed within a rope-pattern inner border, with the circular legend reading around the periphery.

Reverse description Half-length bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing three-quarters right, laureate and in armored dress, his right hand resting on the hilt of a sword and his left hand holding a scepter. Beneath the figure, a small shield bearing the crowned imperial double-headed eagle is displayed in the lower field. The imperial titles appear in a divided legend around the periphery, separated by ornamental stops.
