Obverse description Irregular square flan struck by hammering, bearing a central Arabic inscription in raised relief within a plain field. The legend is arranged in multiple lines and references the ruler Qadir Shah of the Malwa Sultanate. The script is somewhat crudely rendered, consistent with the provincial hammered coinage of the period. The borders are uneven, characteristic of hand-cut dies used in medieval Indian copper coinage.
