| Beschrijving keerzijde | Three classically draped female figures — personifications of England, Scotland, and Ireland — standing in close embrace, adapted from William Wyon's celebrated 1817 pattern design. The central figure faces left and joins hands with her companions; a harp symbolising Ireland appears at lower left, a Scottish thistle at lower right, and a shield at centre base. The Latin legend FOEDUS INVIOLABILE (meaning 'inviolable bond') is inscribed vertically in the field to either side of the group, and the engraver's signature W. WYON. appears at lower left. A beaded inner border encircles the entire composition. |
