| 表面の説明 | Facing bust of Pope Gregory III rendered in a crude, stylized manner characteristic of early medieval Roman coinage. The pontiff is depicted with a nimbus or crown-like headdress, with large almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose, and a short beard indicated by hatched lines. The draped bust is shown frontally, occupying the majority of the small flan, with floral or foliate ornaments visible in the fields to either side. The overall style reflects the transitional Byzantine artistic influence prevalent in papal Rome during the early 8th century. The die work is rough and typical of hammered silver fractional coinage of the period. |

| 裏面の説明 | A cross pattée or potent centrally placed, with the letters G, R, O, E arranged one in each quadrant formed by the arms of the cross, reading clockwise from upper left. A small globule or pellet is visible at the top of the cross. The reverse design is bold and legible despite the small module, with the monogrammatic arrangement of letters serving as an abbreviated reference to GREGORI (Gregory). The field is flat and shows characteristic die irregularities consistent with hand-hammered production on an irregular silver flan. |
