Obverse description Three horizontal bands of Persian Naskh script fill the round field, reading 'Shah Alam Sikka Badshah' (Coin of Emperor Shah Alam). A decorative rosette or floral ornament appears in the center between the script bands, while a cluster of pellets is visible in the upper portion of the field. The legend is arranged in the characteristic Mughal style, with bold calligraphic strokes occupying the full diameter of the flan. No border of beads or dentils is present; the inscription itself constitutes the entirety of the design.
