Obverse description The field bears a three-line Persian legend in Nastaliq script, reading 'Shah Alam Sikka Badshah' (Coin of Emperor Shah Alam), arranged across two horizontal registers divided by a raised curved band. Decorative floral rosette ornaments appear in the upper field and at the centre between the registers. Small dot ornaments are scattered throughout the field, characteristic of the Farrukhabad mint style.

Reverse description The reverse displays a three-line Persian legend in Nastaliq script across two horizontal registers separated by a raised curved band, reading 'Zarb Farrukhabad Sanat 45' (Struck at Farrukhabad in regnal year 45). The regnal year numeral appears prominently in the upper register. Decorative floral rosettes, small dot clusters, and lozenge ornaments are distributed throughout the field, consistent with the characteristic ornamentation of the Farrukhabad mint.
