Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line Persian script inscription arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, typical of Jammu and Kashmir hammered coinage of the reign of Maharaja Ranbir Singh. The legends, struck in the Nastaliq calligraphic style, record the ruler's name and regnal details in accordance with the Mughal-derived coinage tradition of the region. The irregular planchet edge, a hallmark of hand-hammered production, is clearly evident, and the die alignment varies as is characteristic of this issue. Surface granularity and die wear are consistent with circulation examples of this type.
