| Reverse description | Irregular hammered field divided by a bold curved stroke resembling a crescent or stylised floral element, a hallmark device of Baroda princely issues. To the left of the dividing stroke, three small pellets or globules are arranged vertically, while to the right a grouping of six to seven raised pellets fills the sunken field within the curved motif. Additional faint Devanagari or symbolic elements are discernible in the granular field. The overall composition is typical of the schematic, non-portrait reverse design used on Baroda quarter-rupee coinage of the Khande Rao era. |
