Kishangarh was among the smaller Rajput princely states in the Ajmer region, and its coinage persisted under British paramountcy largely by administrative inertia rather than economic necessity — the state covered barely 858 square kilometers. The anonymous attribution of this issue reflects a transitional minting practice common to several Rajputana states, where dies from earlier reigns continued in use well after succession, making precise attribution to Yagya Narayan Singh's accession in 1926 genuinely difficult without die-study cross-referencing.
The Y#10 and Y#10a distinction in Krause separates die varieties within the same extended issue, not separate emissions.
