Reverse description The reverse displays an entirely epigraphic composition in Arabic thuluth calligraphy. A central dotted inner circle encloses the mint and denomination inscription in multiple lines, with the Hijri date ١٣٥٤ (1354 AH) at the base of the inner circle. Outside the inner circle and within the outer legend, two crossed palm fronds flank a cartouche at the base bearing two crossed swords above a palm tree, the emblem of Saudi Arabia. A continuous circular Arabic legend occupies the outer field, all enclosed within a reeded rim.
