Obverse description The national emblem of Saudi Arabia occupies the center of the obverse field, depicting two crossed scimitars in the lower portion with a date palm rising above them. A two-line Arabic legend arcs across the upper field reading the name and title of King Faisal bin Abd Al-Aziz Al Saud, while a second Arabic inscription curves along the lower field identifying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The design is rendered in bold relief against a flat, unadorned field, with all inscriptions in a flowing Naskh calligraphic style.
