| Obverse description | Central field features the national emblem of Saudi Arabia: a tall date palm flanked by two crossed scimitars, rendered in fine relief. A two-line Arabic legend arcs across the upper field reading the royal title and name of King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, while a further Arabic inscription curves along the lower field identifying him as Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
