| Obverse description | Central field features the national emblem of Saudi Arabia: a tall date palm flanked by two crossed scimitars, rendered in fine relief. A two-line Arabic legend arcs across the upper field reading the royal title and name of King Abdullah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, while a further Arabic inscription curves along the lower field identifying him as Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The design is unframed, with the legends occupying the full periphery of the coin face in a flowing Naskh script. |
