Obverse description The entire field is occupied by a multi-line Latin commemorative inscription arranged across nine lines within a beaded border. The text records the marriage of Gustav II Adolf and Maria Eleonora and her coronation as Queen of Sweden on 27 November 1620 in Stockholm. A small floriate ornament appears at the base of the inscription below the final line. The lettering is rendered in bold Roman capitals characteristic of early seventeenth-century Swedish hammered coinage.
