Reverse description Central device depicts the Lion and Sun emblem of imperial Iran: a lion passant to the right, brandishing a sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun behind its back. Above the lion, a Pahlavi crown is positioned at the top of the field. The entire device is enclosed within a wreath of oak and olive branches tied at the base with a ribbon, flanked by the Persian date ۱۳۱۵ (1315 SH / 1936 AD) inscribed in the lower exergue beneath the wreath.
