Obverse description Crowned facing bust of King Jaime II within a cusped Gothic quatrefoil or polylobed inner border composed of four arched lobes, rendered in a stylized medieval manner. The king is depicted with long flowing hair falling to the shoulders, wearing a crown with fleur-de-lis points, and a draped garment. Small annulets are positioned between the lobes of the inner border. The circular Latin legend + REX : MAIORICARUM runs along the periphery, separated from the central design by a beaded inner circle.
