Reverse description Central design features the crowned arms of Castile and León arranged in a cross pattern, with alternating castle and lion quarters, framed within an oval cartouche. Four additional crowned castle and lion devices occupy the inter-quarter positions around the central shield. The entire composition is encircled by a wreath of laurel and palm branches tied at the base with a ribbon. The reverse legend IN • UTROQ • FELIX • AUSPICE • DEO (meaning 'Happy in both, under the auspices of God') arcs around the outer periphery. The coin's border is formed by a continuous ring of beads.
