| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized cross or floral motif enclosed within a raised inner circle. The circular legend REPUBLICA DOMINICANA runs along the outer border, separated from the inner circle by a beaded or toothed ring. A small five-pointed star appears at the base of the legend. The overall design is simple and bold, consistent with early Republican coinage struck for the newly independent Dominican Republic. |
