Reverse description The reverse displays a bold Arabic mint and date inscription in large, flowing Nastaliq script occupying the central field, reading 'Zarb Dar al-Ibada Yazd 1282', identifying the mint city of Yazd and the AH year of issue. The legend is contained within a plain inner circle bordered by a ring of raised beads forming a dotted inner border. Additional Arabic text appears around the periphery of the field. The coin exhibits the irregular, slightly uneven flan edge characteristic of provincial Qajar coinage struck at the Yazd mint.
