| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bracteate type exhibiting a series of concentric raised rings occupying the entire field, with a small stylized device — possibly a rudimentary initial or abstract motif — visible at the center within the innermost ring. The design is executed in a crude, low-relief hammered style characteristic of Norwegian bracteate coinage of the early 13th century. The irregular flan displays an uneven, jagged edge typical of hand-cut silver planchets of this period. The letter 'G', serving as the initial of King Guttorm Sigurdsson, appears associated with the central device. |
