正面描述 Bearded, crowned royal bust facing right, rendered in the hammered bracteate style characteristic of medieval Norwegian coinage. The effigy displays a stylized crown atop the sovereign's head, with a crescent motif positioned to the right of the bust. The design is executed in low relief with the bold, simplified lines typical of early 13th-century Scandinavian die-cutting.

附加信息

Norwegian royal coinage of the thirteenth century was produced in conditions that make consistent attribution genuinely difficult. The bracteate and fractional issues of this period were struck under a succession of competing kings — Håkon Håkonsson's long reign (1217–1263) being the dominant political force — but output from regional minting sites was irregular and poorly documented. Skaare's cataloguing work remains the primary scholarly framework for sorting these issues, and even he acknowledged significant uncertainty in dating sequences within this span.
