| Beschrijving voorzijde | Single-sided bracteate of irregular flan struck in thin silver. The design features a large Gothic letter N in the field, serving as a mint initial for Nidaros (Trondheim), enclosed within a plain inner circle. The letter is rendered in bold, slightly archaic strokes with flanking vertical lines on either side, all executed in the characteristic rudimentary style of 13th-century Norwegian hammered coinage. The outer border of the flan is uneven, consistent with the hand-cut fabric typical of medieval Scandinavian bracteates. |
