| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a raised solid inner ring, a minuscule Latin letter 'h' occupies the central field, with a small star or pellet device positioned to its left. The design is stark and minimalist, characteristic of medieval Norwegian bracteate-style fractional coinage. The incuse field beyond the inner ring extends to the irregular octagonal flan edge. The letter 'h' is interpreted as an initial for the mint town Hamar. The overall relief is low, consistent with hammered silver coinage of the 13th century. |
