The letter K is rendered in a bold, angular medieval script characteristic of Norwegian hammered coinage of the 13th century, interpreted as an initial for Konghelle, the probable mint of issue. The surrounding field is plain and unadorned, and the flan exhibits the typical irregular, jagged edge associated with cut bracteate fractions of this period. |
