| Obverse description | Bracteate type struck on a thin, irregularly shaped silver flan. The design is centered within two concentric raised rings, forming a double border that frames the central motif. Within the innermost ring, a bold Latin letter N — interpreted as the initial for Nidaros (Trondheim), the issuing mint — is rendered in high relief in a simple, angular medieval style. The outer rim is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hand-hammered medieval coinage. The field is flat and unadorned beyond the central initial and concentric border elements. |
