Obverse description Central raised pellet set within three concentric raised circles of diminishing diameter, creating a bold target or bullseye motif in the field. The design is entirely geometric and anepigraphic, with no lettering or figurative elements. The irregular flan, characteristic of medieval hammered bracteate coinage, exhibits a slightly uneven rim formed by hand-cutting. The concentric ring composition is typical of the simplified abstract types struck during the reign of Sverre Sigurdsson in late 12th-century Norway.
