Obverse description Bishop's crozier (pastoral staff) depicted in stylized form within two concentric circles, the design rendered in the crude but characteristic bracteate technique of medieval Norwegian coinage. The motif is centrally placed within the double-ring border, with the curved head of the staff visible in the upper portion of the inner field. The overall composition is simple and symbolic, typical of ecclesiastical-influenced minor coinage of the late 12th to early 13th century.

Reverse description Incuse mirror image of the obverse, as is characteristic of bracteate coinage struck from a single die on a thin flan; the concentric circle border and bishop's crozier motif appear in relief as a negative impression.
