The reverse displays the denomination and Burmese calendar date 1240 (corresponding to 1878/79 CE) inscribed within a wreath of stylised foliage. The wreath is itself enclosed within a dotted inner border and a raised outer surround, creating a multi-layered frame. Burmese script lettering records the date and value, with the entire design bounded by a uniform denticled rim consistent with the obverse. |
