| Obverse description | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the facial features and short hair. The portrait is of a mature, authoritative style consistent with official Pahlavi-era coinage. Surrounding the effigy, a curved Arabic-script legend arcs across the upper field and descends along the left, reading the full royal titulature. The field is otherwise plain, with a bold reeded border framing the entire design. |

| Reverse description | The central device depicts the Imperial Iranian arms: the Lion and Sun emblem, showing a passant lion in profile facing left, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun emerging from its back. The ensemble is set upon a decorative ground line. Surmounting the lion is the Pahlavi Imperial Crown. The central device is framed below and to either side by a wreath composed of two branches — one of olive and one of oak — tied at the base, with no inscriptions present in the field. The reeded border encloses the entire composition. |
