| Reverse description | A cross fleurée (cross with fleur-de-lis terminals) dominates the reverse, with a small quatrefoil at its centre. In each of the four angles formed by the cross, a lion passant is depicted above a fleur-de-lis, maintaining the heraldic imagery consistent with the obverse. The entire design is contained within a double polylobe (multifoil) border, typical of the ornate decorative treatment applied to English noble coinage of this period. The circumferential legend in Gothic Latin script reads: + EXALTABITVR : In : GLORIA. |
