| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents the Shi'a Muslim profession of faith (Kalima) arranged in multiple registers in bold Nasta'liq script. The upper register contains the Shahada 'La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah' (There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God), while the lower register reads 'Ali wali Allah' (Ali is the Friend of God), affirming the Twelver Shi'a doctrinal formula standard on Safavid and early Qajar coinage. The legend is divided by a horizontal line across the field, with the inscriptions in high relief. The flan is round and slightly irregular, consistent with hammered manufacture. No figural imagery is present; the design is purely calligraphic in keeping with Islamic numismatic tradition. |
