| Reverse description | Central field bears a bold, deeply struck multi-line Shi'a Islamic profession of faith (Kalima-yi Shahada) rendered in nasta'liq script, reading 'La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah, Ali Wali Allah' (There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, Ali is the Friend of God), arranged in three registers across the field. The inscription affirms the Twelver Shi'a creed characteristic of all Zand Dynasty coinage, with the third line acknowledging the Imamate of Ali. A prominent beaded border encircles the entire design, and the slightly scalloped flan edge reflects the hammered manufacture technique. |
