| Obverse description | Central field features a dotted oval cartouche enclosing the Arabic legend in Nasta'liq script, reading 'Ya Karim' (O Generous One, an invocation) above the mint name 'Khoy' and the AH regnal year 1193. A secondary inscription or epithet appears above the cartouche in a smaller panel at the top of the field. The entire design is framed by a prominent outer border of large raised pellets, characteristic of Zand dynasty hammered gold coinage. |
